15th Birthday

Bright 15th Birthday for friends daughter. I made the strips to match the bow, and the curly ques coming out of the bow - to also come out of the roses on each side of the cake - it was fun and surely caught the eye of the teenage girls!

Our Nephew Zach's Graduation Party

My nephew Zach graduated last spring, I made 2 cakes - one for his high school and one for the university he was going to attend. Then I found a cute little treat of graduation caps, made from a Reese and choc. covered graham cracker and some white icing piped on as the tassel!

Two Finished products!

Finished probably at 2-3am......I am such a night worker!

The emblems for the cakes - TEDIOUS, but worth it. I was happy how they turned out. He ran in track in HS.

BIL 40th cake

This cake was for my brother in law - again a suprise 40th party! He is a sports nut, loving baseball, basketball and football - My husband came up with this saying on the cake that deemed appropriate for him!! And his wife absolutely loved it too! The entire cake was homade and edible!

Dessert cake

This was for my mom's birthday last year - swiss meringue buttercream - choc cake with fresh strawberry filling, and choc covered strawberries on top - it was DElish!

Practice fun cake

I got these new tappits, needed to practice, so hey, why not make a cake and take to work! My nurse friends loved the idea of tasting new recipies too - which i used for the cake and fondant :) They, I guess can be my guinea pigs for new recipies!

Christmas - Happy Birthday Jesus Cake

Every year our Family has a happy birthday Jesus cake - I wanted to practice covering my new square cakes with fondant - so I volunteered myself to make the cake - it was OK, good practice, but the kids all loved the manger scene! I ran out of time in the middle of the night to do letters, so I just used buttercream on the fondant, and bc my husband was sleeping, he didn't help me line up the letters! haha.

For my MIL

This was a birthday cake for my Mother in Law - the roses are fondant - everything is edible - this is one of my favorite cakes - just cute, and simple. The colors Popped with the dark choc. fondant!

My sister's baby shower

Did something simple yet elegant for her shower - I have learned much cuter bows since then But it did turn out cute - along with the edible pearls! (Sorry, messy Kitchen shot in backround again!)

Brock's 3rd Birthday

My first 2 tier cake - for my son's 3rd Birthday - He is such a dog lover(STILL is to this day!) I think my sister actually suggested doing dog bones as the borders of the cakes, Great idea! This choc fondant was made before I started adding candy melts to my fondant - that is why it is a lighter brown. We kept these dogs FOREVER......until they really fell apart - Brock played with them more than anything he got at his birthday!

Friends Birthday!

A cake I TRIED to mail to my best friend in Chicago.....I wish I had an "after" photo!!! The USPS didn't do so swell in the delivery....BOO!!! But going by tasts alone, my friend was still pleased!
