This was the cake I completed for my Michaels class.......gumpaste carnations - those suckers took forever - but the cake is elegant - what I love.

This is a blog for me, really, to keep all the cakes and such I do organized and to pretend like I am a professional like some of the amazing cake decorators I feel like I know from watching them on YouTube and buying their DVDs....;) Enjoy the site. I have searched hi and lo for the best cake recipie - my husband has engraved in me, that even if a cake looks pretty, it has to taste GOOD! So that has been my goal with cake, icing, and fondant - I make everything from scratch. And I think after having many taste tests and reviews from friends and family, there are some good recipies I have found and will keep forever! They get rave reviews!
